Herbs that may attenuate the antihypertensive effect of ramipril include: bayberry, blue cohash, cayenne, ephedra, ginger, ginseng (American), kola and licorice. High salt intake may attenuate the antihypertensive effect of ramipril. Ramipril decreases the excretion of potassium. Salt substitutes containing potassium increase the risk of hyperkalemia. Take without regard to meals.
Milurit: Avoid alcohol. Take with a full glass of water. Take with food.
Tegretol cr 400: Avoid alcohol. Avoid taking grapefruit or grapefruit juice throughout treatment. Grapefruit can significantly increase serum levels of this product. Take with food, increases availability and reduces irritation.
